Asbestos containing material
Asbestos Legal Requirements And Best Practice For Property Professionals And Clients, 4th Edition, published by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in May 2021, defines asbestos containing material (ACM) as: ‘A term used to describe any material that contains asbestos. Use of this acronym in relation to asbestos – established for many years – is not to be confused with the recent adoption of 'ACM', following the Grenfell fire, to mean aluminium cladding material.’
For Aluminium Composite Material, see: ACM Cladding.
